About Arsys

Fachada Edificio Arsys

Internet Data Center (IDC)

Arsys has one of the largest IDC for commercial use in Spain. It is designed to host over 8,000 servers. Apart from all IT security measures, Arsys also has a 24/7 monitoring system. All servers are monitored by both automated tools and technicians, so that reaction time, should any problems arise, is less than 2 minutes, or are detected before they even occur.

The IDC of the company has redundant air conditioning systems, technical flooring, Uninterruptible Power Supply systems (UPS) and latest generation systems in fire detecting and fire fighting, minimizing the risk of incidents.

Arsys' data center can only be accessed through magnetically locked doors that can only be unlocked with a special swipe card. Apart from this, there is access control to the building itself. The center is fully protected by a remote surveillance system, both inside and outside.

The network

Arsys controls a powerful tier one network, which enjoys fully redundant connectivity and world-class infrastructure, ensuring the highest degree of security against network downtime and the fastest possible data transfers.

The server network of the company is arranged in four logical segments: servers for internal use, shared hosting, dedicated hosting and server colocation. The servers are connected to independent networks and all information traffic goes through firewalls, even between servers of similar categories.

Arsys is a member of the neutral Internet exchange points in Spain (Espanix), the U.K. (Linx) and France (Parix). By means of a meshed, redundant connection, a proprietary network connects Arsys’ IDC with the main Internet exchange points through redundant circuits. At the same time, the company holds peering agreements with over 200 operators, enabling data exchange at the most appropriate exchange points, depending on where the user is.

Arsys is a RIPE autonomous system (AS20718). It has its own range of IP addresses, both in IPv4 and in IPv6, at the same level as any telecommunications operator, and manages its own routers through the BGP4 protocol. As a result, Arsys’ network of servers is connected to multiple operators through different lines, in order to achieve physical redundancy and optimal download speed for any destination.
