Advantages of enabling data protection for your domain
What happens when you register a domain?
The ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) demands that your domain ownership information be published in the public "Whois" database. If you don't want people using your data for spam, telemarketing, data mining... you need Arsys private whois service which hides your personal data.
How does Private Domain Registration protect you?
With our identity protection service (Private Registration) you'll be able to hide the personal data published in your Whois record:
- Your name as owner of the domain (with the exception of .es and .cat domains).
- Your email
- Your telephone number
- Your postal address
- You'll be able to enable and disable the service at any time, show your Whois ownership information at specific times (which is very useful should you need to demonstrate ownership of the domain, for example when buying an SSL Security Certificate).
We'll show information about our virtual office instead of your details.
