    Firewall protection


    The firewall service included protects your Basic Cloud Server from attacks and unauthorised access. This service leaves the most common ports open while protecting the rest.


    If you need to configure your own firewall rules, with our Custom Firewall you can add 10 custom rules and 1 request of change per month, for €30/month.


    Parallels® Plesk Panel licences


    You can buy the server management panel Parallels® Plesk Panel and the licence to manage as many web hosting domains as you want:

    SQL Server


    You have two alternatives:

    • Purchase a SQL Server licence belonging to Arsys.
    • Provide your own edition of SQL Server and the corresponding licence. You can install it yourself or pay one of our system administrators to do it.

    We currently have licences for the following SQL Server products. The products are scalable, so you can upgrade your product at any time.

    SQL Server can only be installed on servers with a Windows Operating System.

    Urchin statistics


    Get a multi-domain licence for Urchin statistics, which will be installed on your Basic Cloud Server. You'll get an Urchin administrator account, allowing you to:

    • Create new profiles and assign them to new or existing domains with different filtering options.
    • Create users and groups. Assign permissions to users so they can manage certain profiles.
    • Decide how often the statistics are updated.
    • Manage other administrative options such as: web server port, task history...

    Malware Control


    Protect your Windows server with this service which combines different technologies to protect the systems and files against threats from viruses, spyware, bots, worms, trojans, buffer-overflow attacks (targeted at vulnerabilities in Microsoft applications) and blended attacks.

    The service also detects and cleans malware minimising the impact on the server's performance. Our technicians manage the security policies, as well as the alerts generated in a centralised administration console which notifies you of the detected problems if necessary.

    You can sign up for this service from your Client Area. Price: €24.90/month

    Additional IP addresses


    • You'll be able to have a second IP address so you can use your server as a DNS server for free.
    • We'll give you an IP address for each SSL security certificate you buy for your server in Arsys.
    • If you need an IP address for other justified uses in accordance with the criteria set by Arsys and RIPE (Regional Internet Registry for Europe), you can request one for €5/month.

    Backup


    • You can choose the directories and file types you want to backup.
    • The server is backed up at night during periods of minimal activity, so as to not interfere with its normal duties.
    • We perform a full weekly backup and daily periodic backups.
    • Backup copies are kept for 30 days. We can't guarantee the availability of backups older than this.
    • The service is billed based on the average total size occupied by the full weekly backups made over the month.
    • Backup restoration is included in the price. If the backups exceed the space available, you will be billed €7/month for each additional GB.

    System administration


    In Arsys we have a large team of system administrators and web application developers at your service, who are specialise in the technologies we offer: Windows, Linux, SQL Server, ASP pages, Perl, Apache, PHP, MySQL, etc.


    Their work is billed in increments of 15 minutes at a rate of €60/hour (nights, weekends and public holidays: €90/hour).

    The Cloud Servers' structure behaves like a living thing capable of distributing the load and capacity to ensure maximum performance and availability of your project.

    Your Basic Cloud Server's disk is hosted on the Arsys CloudStorage platform, which has advanced SAN structures, offering high performance and availability, thanks to their dual-parity RAID configuration.

    You'll be able to quickly reinstall your Basic Cloud Server as you'll always have access to the appliances and ISOs that can be used.

    As well as logging in as an administrator, you can access your Basic Cloud Server's console as if you were at your desk. You'll be able choose DVD boot images and make adjustments, or install software manually.

    Your Basic Cloud Server is housed in our Data Centre with advanced security systems and high availability. To deploy and maintain this technology is so expensive, complicated and important that requieres to be delegated to experts.

    Supported on a common hardware structure, each Basic Cloud acts as a completely independent machine at the operating system level.


    This allows all projects to have the most advanced security measures and flexibility in case of failure: load balancing, RAID type storage systems, fault tolerance, automatic recovery in case of hardware failure...

    Our Cloud platform has multiple connection interfaces to the Arsys backbone network through the latest generation switches. To obtain the maximun performance they are capable to manage the load and distribute the traffic automatically.

    If you're going to use the disk intensively (many read and constant write operations), we recommend using Fibre Channel as it offers higher performance.


    If your read/write operations aren't as frequent (even if large files are involved), you can use SATA (standard) technology.

    You'll be able to take a snapshot of the Cloud server's state at a specific time to return to it if needed after installing/uninstalling programs, making changes, performing updates...

    You'll be able to install the software you need (depending on your requirements) and use it to install other applications (DNS, email...), development applications (C, C++, Java...) and your own developments.

    You can set an automatic alert to warn you (by email or SMS to Spanish mobile numbers) when you reach your chosen data transfer limit. This will help you to avoid excess usage and control your expenses.
